Dying Whale Noises

So at this convention I went to today, I met the wonderfully talented and amazingly kind, Louis Small Jr. He has illustrated for Marvel and DC comics and several other big name companies. His art is absolutely stunning and I have never seen such gorgeous pencil work. He is also one of the kindest, most supportive and optimistic people ever. Every time a person wearing a costume walked by his booth, he would stop them and take a picture and compliment them on their hard work. We started chatting about Transformers after he snapped a shot of my necklace but after a bit I asked him if he took sketch commissions, to which he replied that he did. Soooo, I just had to get a bust of Thelonious from him. He was kind enough to let me sit at the booth with him while he drew and I told him all about Theo (he was super into it too which made me beyond happy) and was always sure to ask me if he got a detail right that he wasn't sure of. I told him that I was giving him full artistic liberty but he was adamant about getting every detail right XD We chatted for several hours and I really hope to keep in contact with him because he is just such a neat person. But man, that Theo pic, I think my heart stopped beating a couple times while he was drawing it. Look how smug that cheeky bugger is with his arms crossed. Awwwwww I am just in such a great mood and on a major happiness high. Cons are so great, I can't wait to go to more!
